FEATURED- Proton sales surge in the United Kingdom

PETALING JAYA-Proton Holdings Bhd has seen a surge in car sales in Britain as the number of cars sold from January to last month is 48% higher compared to the same period in 2005.


Proton UK general sales and marketing manager Simon Park was reported to have said that a growing dealer network, and the Savvy and ongoing advertising campaigns had resulted in the increase in sales this year.

Included below are the sales reports of major car companies in the UK market from January 2006 to September 2006.

THE VOLKSWAGEN GROUP- 1.4 million

RENAULT- 1.54 million,

HONDA- 2,563, 631

PROTON- 1,702

not saying that i'm not supporting malaysian cars but i wish that they would have better cars. coz most of the ppl i know who are using em complains about how it breaks down every now and then. not saying that other car never breaks down but common, u juz bought the car for few weeks and something starts falling apart >_<"

1700 cars only?

Gee if we estimate profit of 1000 pounds for each car that means Proton UK only makes

1700000 Pounds per annum.

I wonder how much they are paying Portsmouth Football Club to have their logo on the jersey.

Maybe it is a clever way to get some free match tickets for shareholders?
